Posting Summary: The University of Virginia's College at Wise invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Volleyball. This position is responsible for assisting with the overall operations of the volleyball program; assisting with or overseeing operations as assigned by, or in the absence of, the head coach, including practice, budget, ordering equipment, travel and meal arrangements, etc.; actively recruiting quality student athletes; working directly with financial aid and admissions during the recruitment process; and assisting with game management.
A bachelor's degree is required, along with previous volleyball coaching experience. Volleyball coaching experience at the college level is preferred. Candidates must possess a demonstrated knowledge of volleyball fundamentals and advanced playing techniques and the coaching knowledge and ability to successfully teach players; excellent communication skills; and excellent time management and organizational skills.
