The University of Washington's Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Generalist Division at Harborview Medical Center, is seeking a well-trained mid-career Obstetrics and Gynecology physician to assume a leadership position. This position will be full-time at the Associate Professor or Professor level, without tenure due to funding commensurate with experience on a 12-month service period. The successful candidate will oversee faculty in the Division of Women's Health at Harborview Medical Center, scheduling, engage in clinical activities, review financial data, and work closely with clinic management. In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S,) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
MD, DO degree or foreign equivalent
Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
Demonstration of prior outstanding scholarly work in education or research within an academic setting
Excellent clinical and surgical skills
Commitment to education, leadership and research consistent with the academic mission of the University of Washington
Devoted to providing high-quality, compassionate care to a diverse patient population
Excellent communication skills
Commitment to team based care
Willingness to provide care at multiple sites and to take night and weekend call
Desired, but not a pre-requisite:
Fluent in Spanish
Global health research or education experience
Prior leadership position
