MEDEX Northwest, the Physician Assistant Program in the Department of Family Medicine, University of Washington seeks applicants with a passion for student teaching and excellence in patient care. This non-tenured appointment will be at the level of assistant or associate professor, depending on qualifications.
This position will be one of our core faculty working collaboratively with others to continue a tradition of educational excellence at MEDEX while evolving the practice and educational models needed for the future. The role consists of teaching and mentoring, curriculum development, direct patient care within the University of Washington health care system or at an affiliated practice, and areas of scholarly activity or interest.
Faculty with course chair or course coordinator responsibilities will assume responsibility for the assigned course(s), and work with course coordinators at the other MEDEX sites to ensure effective and consistent course delivery at all sites.

Applicants must have a Master's Degree or Ph.D. in a related discipline, current Washington State Physician Assistant licensure, or eligibility, current NCCPA certification, demonstration of experience in an academic PA training environment and history of significant clinical practice, preferably in primary care.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
