Summary of Duties: The College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Washington State University (WSU) in Spokane, WA, invites applications for two tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor (commensurate with experience) in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences (see link Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences).
The successful candidates will be expected to maintain vibrant, extramurally-funded research programs in the general areas of drug discovery, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, metabolism/pharmacogenomics, or drug delivery and nanotechnology. Specific research interests for the department include studies of substance abuse, natural product drug interactions, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and inflammatory disease. The successful candidates will also be expected to mentor graduate students and fellows and to teach pharmaceutical sciences within the professional and graduate curricula.
Required Qualifications: Applicants must have an advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, and/or MD in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline) and must possess a track record of accomplishment demonstrating outstanding scholarly activities. Applicants should have active, nationally recognized, extramurally funded research programs.
