Vanderbilt UniversityMedical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Manager of Manager of MolecularDiagnostics, Cytogenetics and Reference Labs, whom will report to the SeniorDirector Operations, and whom will lead the clinical laboratory section(s)and/or laboratory support functions within the Diagnostic Laboratories ofVanderbilt University Medical Center.
This position providesdirection for the supervisors of the individual laboratories and serves as akey resource to integrate clinical activities and optimize patient care. Withthe lab leadership team, defines clinical performance standards and qualitymeasures, monitors actual performance and when necessary identifies problemsand initiates corrective actions. Medical Laboratory Technologist Tennessee Licensure If not currently licensed, must have national MLS (ASCP) Certification
Medical Laboratory Supervisor license in the state of Tennessee or eligibility to obtain
5 years relevant experience
Education, experience, certification and license should be applicable to the specialty area or department as generalist or categorical. 2) If categorical supervisor license, then employee can only have responsibility for the specific lab defined by the categorical license. 3) Medical Technologist Supervisor license is not required for Histology or Lab Client Services Team Leader positions.2) Proven ability to create cohesion with a engaged team of laboratory professionals
