The Director of Student Accessibility Services ensures that all students with a disability have equal opportunity and access to the academic and extracurricular offerings of the University. The Director provides guidance to assist students with disabilities in their transition and adjustment to the university, accepts and reviews disability documentation, and determines appropriate accommodations in the classroom and for other campus activities. The Director oversees the provision of testing, note taking, housing, adaptive technology, and interpreter accommodations through direct service to students with disabilities. The Director serves as a liaison and consultant to faculty, staff, and campus partners. The Director works closely with the CARE Team and colleagues in the Dean of Students Office to provide support to short term accommodations issues as well as other care and behavioral work.
