At Cultivate Learning, we translate insight into learning opportunity.Position PurposeReporting to the Cultivate Learning Media Liaison, the hourly Multimedia Video Coders are independently responsible for reviewing, annotating and coding early care and education teaching practices in video and written content for use in professional development material and media libraries. Coding activities support the Resource Development team at Cultivate Learning to create professional development materials for early childhood faculty, trainers and providers. Cultivate Learning has 2 current opportunities for 2 50% FTE (Part-Time, 20 hours per week) Multimedia Video Coders, specifically:-One position requires someone who is biliterate in both English and Spanish.-One position requires someone who is biliterate in both English and Somali.*Both temporary positions are anticipated to last up to 12 months.*RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Review and annotate (unedited) video and photographic images in data asset management system.
Code videos and photographic images for early childhood teaching practices using detailed taxonomy.
Annotate and code written professional development materials for early childhood teaching practices using detailed taxonomy.
Maintain certification and reliability in early childhood assessments after initial training.
Communicate with supervisor to give regular updates on progress toward coding tasks.
Attention to detail in order to maintain accurate records documenting hours worked and progress on tasks.
Meet regularly with video coding team to ensure consistent and reliable coding.
