Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Iowa State University is seeking a Program Assistant II. This position will be supporting the project team by coordinating meetings, events, and other trainings and project-related activities as needed. This position will also prepare and distribute implementation materials to project participants, and ensure that all expenses meet with the requirements of the funding agency.
In addition, this position will help develop and maintain PPSI and project-related social media accounts and websites, and assist in developing graphics (e.g., infographics, logos), promotional materials (flyers, brochures), layouts for manuals and other implementation materials (e.g., PowerPoints), and may assist with video development (animation and/or video editing).
The successful candidate will be detail- and team-oriented, skilled in the production of print and online content, and have the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 1 year of related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience totaling 5 years unless otherwise specified under supplemental required education and experience. Experience must be at a comparable level and directly related to the duties of this position.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Experience communicating with lay and professional audiences - Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office - Experience managing social media and websites - Experience in an office environment - Experience coordinating events or project implementation activities
