The University of the South invites applications for a one-year visiting position (with the possibility of renewal) in Russian language and literature, to begin in fall 2019. Teaching load is three courses per semester (including one course per year in the Interdisciplinary Humanities Program).
We seek a dynamic, energetic colleague with native or near-native fluency in Russian and English, demonstrated scholarly promise, and strong evidence of effectiveness in teaching. Interest in and ability to contribute to interdisciplinary programs is highly desirable, as is willingness to assist in planning co-curricular and extracurricular activities essential to our flourishing Russian program. Ph.D. in hand at time of appointment is desired; ABD will be considered.
