UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Manager, UW Medicine Enterprise Portfolio Management. This individual will be part of a new group responsible for creating an Enterprise Portfolio Management (EPM) function across UW Medicine. The EPM Program Manager will provide mid-to-large scale program management services for UW Medicine enterprise wide, working closely with the EPM Senior Director to create and establish new workflows, processes, documentation, and visualizations to support enterprise planning, coordination, and decision making by executives and senior leadership. The EPM Program Manager will serve as the internal consultant and primary functional expert of the PPM (Project Portfolio Management) tool, including the administrative oversight of the newly created EPM BI Analyst position.As an administrative program management role that will have enterprise exposure to UW Medicine's senior leadership, it is essential for the EPM Program Manager to bring a strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as lead program manager for the EPM function and associated mid-to-large scale projects across UW Medicine.Develop, deploy, and optimize new EPM programs, workflows, processes, documentation, and visualizations to support enterprise planning, coordination, and decision making. Lead and drive EPM process and measurement improvement plans. Develop, use, and review work aids, such as process descriptions, checklists, templates and guides to assist users with EPM and the PPM tool. Support PPM end-users including providing system expertise and new user onboarding.Staff support to EPM leadership and committees, including development of communication plans.Work with the EPM BI Analyst to develop, deploy, and optimize reporting solutions to support the enterprise EPM objectives.Other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Healthcare Administration, or related field of study AND at least six to eight years of demonstrated success/results in a portfolio management capacity (e.g., having overseen and managed multiple projects/programs). Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, employees and teams to envision a different future state: o Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences. o Demonstrated strength in data-based decision-making, analysis, influencing and storytelling. o Experience in planning and managing cross-functional efforts. o Experience generating business documentation such as building business cases, identifying personas, defining scenarios, narratives, and process flows. o Proven experience motivating high-performing individuals; creating inclusive and collaborative team environment. Regardless of the venue (in-person, phone, or email/text), have the ability to behave as a consummate diplomat - demonstrating professional and patient demeanor in challenging situationsHigh levels of competency with: PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Data visualization software (e.g. Tableau). An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements. DESIRED/PREFERRED:Previous experience with Business to Business (B2B) and/or Business to Customer (B2C) software solutions (Salesforce, Constant Contact, etc.)Lean/Six Sigma certificationExperience with Business Intelligence (BI) concepts (SQL, EDW, etc.)Experience in Healthcare
