The University of Washington Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time (75% FTE), day shift, FISCAL SPECIALIST 1.The purpose of this position is support the Assistant Administrator, Director, and departmental staff with business operations, payroll coordination, reports, and general administration of the UWMC Social Work & Care Coordination department.RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as departmental Payroll Coordinator, entering time into Time Reporting systemServe as departmental Kronos TimekeeperComplete all entries exceptions, corrections, reports, and auditsServe as staff contact for orienting staff to the Kronos time keeping systemMaintain Employee Leave RecordsPrepare and release recordsCompile annual year-end wage accrual reports for 60 staff membersFacilitate the processing of FMLA, leave donations, sick leave payouts, and other leave related activitiesMonitor professional license renewalsMonitor staff adherence to hospital compliance requirementsConfidentially maintain performance review schedule, record completed reviewsManage personnel files for the departmentManage and maintain departmental continuing education programAssist the Director with administrative supportDevelopment of grant expenditure reportsRevision and dissemination of departmental policies and proceduresUpdating the departmental intranet sitePublishing the monthly departmental scheduling calendar and revising as needed on an ongoing basisAssist in new staff onboardingManage front desk and telephone requests from general publicPerform other duties as requiredThis position provides opportunities to work in a fast-paced, challenging, diverse and rewarding environment.
