This position is responsible for coordinating, writing, and delivering reports of all levels related to the Epic Revenue Cycle, Hospital Finance and Reimbursement functions of healthcare. Identifying and coordinating data requirements from end-users into technical specifications, organizing the data for reporting, and producing both monthly and ad-hoc reports using business intelligence tools. Involves advanced understanding of data organization within Revenue Cycle functions, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, Healthcare Finance and Reimbursement.
Advanced ability to interpret specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/available data elements. Optimizes the performance and delivery of reports using available reporting/business intelligence tools bringing value to the customer. Identifies issues and collaborates on developing solutions to data management challenges. Advanced data analysis with the ability to quickly determine best process approach to complex data extracts.
Coordinates analytical support for health management, including profiling, health economics, and business analytics / performance metrics. Defines systems and applications to support various functions. May provide customer service, troubleshooting and maintenance. Applies skills and experience as a seasoned clinical informatics professional to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity, or portions of large projects.
Bachelor's degree in health care information technology, computer science, or related area; and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
Three or more years of relevant experience.
Professional level experience working with clinical information systems and developing reports.
Intermediate level capabilities with MS Access and MSSQL server and related technologies.
Intermediate level experience working with Transact SQL, Crystal Reports 11, OLAP structures and/or other related technologies.
Extensive experience and working knowledge of all MS office products.
Knowledge and experience of database management technologies.
Excellent project management skills. Ability to working a group setting and group projects.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently, setting priorities to meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal, written communication skills, presentation and report writing.
Professional experience and proven success performing clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies and adoption of technology.
Certifications in Epic Data models: Epic Revenue Cycle, Epic Hospital Billing, Epic Professional Billing, and Healthcare Finance Reimbursement report writing including SQL Epic Clarity, Reporting Workbench, and Radar reports.
Experience working in cross functional IT and Business production units.
Experience working with SQL databases.
Experience with Hospital Finance and Decision Support.
Epic Clarity Certification in Revenue Cycle, Professional Billing, Hospital Billing.
Epic Certification in Reporting Workbench, Radar.
Healthcare Revenue Cycle Reporting Experience.
Intermediate to Advanced SQL.
Experience developing data marts and visualizations in Tableau, Qlik or similar application.
Strong Communications at all management levels.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
