As a member of the OE/HR team, the Talent Acquisition Partner works in a highly collaborative manner with hiring managers to understand the managers' objectives and staffing needs. This position develops and executes customized sourcing and recruiting strategies generating a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future professional and classified staff positions. This position handles the full life cycle of the recruitment process and works closely with hiring managers in creating skilled and diverse candidate pools. The position also acts as UW Bothell's representative at diversity job fairs and external networking events. Successful recruitment strategies include sourcing diverse candidate pools, evaluating candidates, creating a positive candidate experience and providing guidance and consultation to hiring managers throughout the sourcing and recruiting process.Duties and ResponsibilitiesRecruitment:As a member of the OE/HR team, the Talent Acquisition Partner will work closely with the OE/HR team to provide seamless service to UW Bothell units.Proactively source active and passive candidates though creative and strategic methods including but not limited to employee referrals, networking, networking events, and advanced search tools to ensure all recruitments are seeded with highly qualified, diverse candidates.Conduct intake meetings with hiring manager/s to discuss the position, the ideal candidate, advertising venues and diverse recruitment strategies and processes for the search.Develop appropriate screening criteria and assess resumes and applications, to pre-screen for hiring managers.Partner with campus leadership to ensure equitable hiring practices and review of hiring pool diversity.Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate skills, experience, salary requirements, availability and interest.Interview candidates and all finalist candidates as selected.Provide verbal or written feedback regarding candidates to hiring managers and other stakeholders.Ensure that all recruiting processes are documented, consistent and efficient.Ensure that all successful candidates are properly on-boarded.Business Partner Collaboration:Work with OE/HR Business Partners and hiring managers to understand client departments' objectives and anticipates staffing needs.Develop and execute tactical sourcing strategies aimed at generating candidate flow to meet overall recruiting goals.Proactively work to build a skilled and diverse candidate pool for each search.Assist with the faculty hiring as requested.Utilize contemporary recruiting and sourcing tools such as job boards, social media, resume databases and search engines to identify active and passive candidates.Generate and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates organized by skill set for current and future opportunities. Conduct informational interviews with inquiring candidates. Match qualified candidates with hiring managers throughout UW Bothell campus, including both permanent and temporary vacancies.Provides training to hiring managers and search committee members on implicit bias and other strategies regarding diversity and inclusion, including inclusion advocacy. Participates in recruitment events and represents UW Bothell within the community.Conduct regular follow-up meetings with hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation.Policies, Procedures and Administration:Manage and maintain recruitment and placement metrics and tracking systems. Evaluate organizational practices in compliance with laws, rules and policies. Develop personnel recommendations in compliance with regulatory requirements while meeting UW Bothell operational needs. Interpret, analyze and disseminate rules, procedures, and policies; identify needs for policy or procedure development and clarification; write guidelines, procedures and policies as necessary.
