The Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Harris-Stowe State University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Psychology (Tenure Track).
The psychology program will commence in Fall 2019 and the successful candidate must be willing to provide leadership and oversight of the new program in the college of arts and sciences. Responsibilities include teaching, advising, engaging in research, mentoring, committee work and other responsibilities as assigned by the chair and the department.
A PhD is required in Psychology from an accredited university with a strong commitment to working with undergraduates in a minority-serving institution.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of teaching experience at the collegiate level and is willing to offer courses across a general psychology program including specialized upper-level courses to prepare students for graduate and professional studies.
