Summary of Duties: The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Washington State University (WSU) invites applications for multiple full-time clinical teaching faculty positions in Computer Science with teaching emphasis in Data Analytics and Software Engineering. The position will be based at WSU campus in Everett, WA.
The duties of the Clinical Assistant Professor positions in Data Analytics and Software Engineering include curriculum development; advising students; teaching undergraduate courses in Data Analytics and Software Engineering; participating in continuous teaching assessment activities; effectively communicating, mentoring, and interacting with students; supporting student recruitment activities; and collaborating with others within the School, the University, or other organizations. Availability of these position and final appointment are contingent on the University budget approvals by the State of Washington.
Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a related discipline, or hold a Masters degree in Computer Science or a related discipline and have at least three (3) years of teaching or industrial experience in related areas. Candidates with exceptional teaching credentials in data analytics and/or software engineering with demonstrated ability in curriculum development, (both face-to-face and online teaching modes) student advising, and scholarly work are sought.
