Serves as Assistant Vice President for Advancement Services and Treasurer of the UNI Foundation; serves as a member of the leadership management team and serves as a liaison to the Board of Trustees and the investment finance and audit committees; manages the finance and accounting functions of the Foundation Financial Services office including cash and asset management, investments, reporting and compliance; oversees the development and administration of financial policies and procedures; oversees financial statement and tax return preparation and distribution as well as the external audit process; and oversees accounting and IT staff.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus CPA or CMA designation. Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree plus CPA or CMA designation. At least five years of experience in a senior financial management role, preferably in a non-profit organization with a budget of at least $5 million in assets required. At least three years of supervisory experience in a financial field; knowledge of non-profit accounting, compliance and reporting requirements; reporting experience with accounting and spreadsheet software; demonstrated leadership and team management abilities; analytical and organizational skills; and excellent written and oral communication skills also required.
