Provides technical support and develop applications for Ellucian Banner, the University Enterprise Resource Planning system. The Enterprise application developer will be responsible for providing day to day application administration, maintenance and support to the Enterprise Resource Planning System, as well as developing and supporting third party integrations. The Developer will both create new solutions and maintain the university's existing solution and continually refine the solutions as processes evolve. Designs complex projects, data retrieval and management systems to meet user needs. Participates in planning and execution of tasks related to Enterprise Resource Planning platforms based initiatives which include upgraded versions of current systems, configuration changes, debugging issues, third-party solutions, and integration with additional enterprise systems. Conducts feasibility studies, evaluates costs, analyzes user needs, designs in-house data processing systems or subsystems, programs the systems or sub systems, develops testing criteria, and establishes documentation to support systems to ensure ITS continues to advance its strategic initiatives to facilitate University's mission. May serve as project leader or be assigned to highly complex projects.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or Bachelor's degree plus two or more years' experience in a Higher Education IT.
5 – 8 years of work experience using database management systems in application development; demonstrated knowledge of relational database management systems
Demonstrated experience in Oracle PL/SQL, UNIX shell scripting.
Demonstrated experience in Java programming.
Excellent knowledge of information systems, databases.
Proficient in written and oral communication.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
High ethical standards and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Must be able to manage and coordinate multiple projects concurrently with a minimum of supervision.
