Description The Nursing Assistant Certified Coordinator fulfills administrative functions for a quarter-long program that prepares students to take the Nurse Aide Competency Evaluation (NACES) in Washington State and obtain certification to work as a Nursing Assistant, Certified. The position is responsible for coordinating teaching hours and clinical assignments with faculty each quarter; facilitating the continuous approval of the NAC program by WA state Dept. of Health; participating in statewide meetings related to the program, recruiting, advising and supporting students.
COMPREHENSIVE WAGE AND BENEFIT PACKAGE
This is a half-time position at an annual salary of $24,752 - $29,702.50.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL DUTIES Work with Program Manager and Associate Dean of Nursing to provide supports for NAC program Establish quarterly and annual schedule of courses Maintain program calendar Publish skills laboratory schedule Order supplies Recruit, advise and support students Provide pre-enrollment information sessions Update information session content as needed to keep current and aligned with program Provide pre-enrollment advising Facilitate continued approval of program by WA state Dept. of Health Prepare and submit reports to WA state Dept. of Health Attend meetings with Dept. of Health, and Bellevue College Nursing Advisory Committee Coordinate faculty assignments Arrange and communicate faculty assignments with NAC instructors prior to start of each quarter Communicate with Program Manager and Associate Dean to ensure correct faculty assigned for theory, lab and clinical sections Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with unencumbered WA State license One-year experience in direct patient care within the past three years, or current experience teaching in NAC program. Effective communication skills Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse (RN) with and ADN or BSN degree from accredited institution Management experience in Long Term Care or Acute Care Previous classroom teaching and/or clinical teaching experience in nursing or NAC programs Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook Working knowledge of CANVAS or other Learning Management System (LMS)
This position is not eligible for relocation allowance.
