Our Nutrition Services department has an outstanding opportunity for a Full-Time Health Program Operations Specialist/CBORD Administrator. The individual in this role will effectively monitor and maintain the department's computer system's retrieval organization, storage and optimum use of information, data and knowledge for food and nutrition related problem-solving and decision making. Efforts are supported by the use of information standards, information processes and information technology.Summary of Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages the department CBORD Food Management Computer System 2. Coordinates the development or modification of nutrition and foodservice information systems related to the CBORD to assure the best use of the system 3. Coordinates clinical technology initiatives for department staff using UW Medicine Electronic Health Records (EHRs), including Epic, Cerner, and others as relevant 4. Analyzes user needs, documenting requirements and researching appropriate pathways to achieving best useAreas of Responsibility:*Maintains the department's computer system CBORD - Food Management System (FMS) composed of the Food Service Suite (FSS) and the Nutrition Service Suite (NSS) to track inventory control, diet office functions, patient room service and the integrity of data and produce budget control usage data *Maintains nutrient analysis database & nutrition analysis document *Input new products with purchasing information, nutrition analysis data and compliances for all diets*Assures input of recipes meet standards*Continually maintain dietary compliances as clinically appropriate*Provide compliance information to RDs and DTs for patients with complex diet orders*Routinely upgrades CBORD as required in coordination with other UW Medicine entities using a standardized testing procedure to maintain optimum operations and quality*Identifies opportunities to utilize FMS to improve patient satisfaction *Identifies opportunities to utilize FMS for cost savings and revenue generation*Serves as liaison and coordinator of efforts with other UW Medicine Food and Nutrition Departments, UW Medicine IT, UW IT and CBORD in regards to departmental technology efforts*Manages on-call paging system for department technology systems*Coordinates clinical technology and informatics initiatives for department staff using various clinical systems, including Epic, Cerner, and others as necessary*Manages changes to clinical workflow and documentation, as well as business reporting aspects within EHRs used by departmental staffMinimum Qualifications:* Significant experience in Health Informatics and knowledge of CBORD computer systems or Computrition Experience* Bachelor's Degree with major in Foods and Nutrition, Hospitality, or Information Technology-related* Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration* Must obtain CD and complete HMC Credentialing paperwork within 3 months of start datePreferred Qualifications:* Completion of American Dietetic Association approved dietetic education program
