The Department of Laboratory Medicine at the University of Washington is seeking a full-time faculty member on the Clinician-Teacher pathway within the Department of Laboratory Medicine's Genetics Division for appointment as an Assistant or Associate Professor, without tenure (WOT) for reasons of funding. This is a 12-month active service period, full-time position that is open until filled with an anticipated start date of summer 2019. Responsibilities will include direction of a CLIA-certified laboratory within the UW Genome Center to support large-scale clinical research projects, including clinical confirmation and return of results for the NIH All of Us Research Program. The candidate will also participate in clinical sign-out of high-complexity NGS testing within the Genetics Division clinical laboratories. Additional responsibilities will include participation in molecular genetics-oriented training and education of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows.
