Responsible for leading the technical design, development and support of Identity Services infrastructure and applications. Leads, instructs, directs, and checks the work of other software developers using full technical knowledge and thorough understanding of business application of the project. Provides technical supervision to and oversees the work of junior staff. Leads with the expectation that team members are cross-trained on projects and new skill developments. Guides and advises stakeholders on best practices for implementing or enhancing system. Work with management to design high-level system integrations involving in-house development or off-the-shelf products. Assess architectural impact of projects on overall system and make recommendations to manager.
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.
6 years relevant experience required.
Experience working with methods of authentication, authorization, access and group management, including SAML2, OAuth, MFA, and LDAP/ADFS, Grouper
Working experience with IAM technologies including: SailPoint, IdentityIQ, Shibboleth, OpenAM, LDAP, Duo for MFA, Active Directory, Radiant Logic, Cayosoft, Grouper.
Knowledge of higher education or public sector IAM processes and technology.
Experience overseeing technical staff engaged in development, projects and operational support.
Experience leveraging message queues, API managers and web services to build application integration services
Experience building/developing code pipelines.
Experience in a higher education institution.
Preferred Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities)
Proficiency in Microsoft Access and Project or equivalent tools
Experience using a systematic approach for problem analysis and resolution as well as the resourceful evaluation of solution alternatives.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with a broad cross-section of the University Community.
