Job Description Summary
The Medical Education Director is responsible for the day by day operations of the pre-clerkship curriculum including distribution of materials and technical support. The Director supports all creative endeavors in UME including new programs/projects as identified by the teaching faculty including curriculum development and implementation. The Director will supervise the curriculum team, providing support to course directors and clerkship directors. The Director will facilitate support for all courses, working with departmental course coordinators and clerkship coordinators The Director will oversee the exam process for the pre-clerkship curriculum and will provide up to date information to the registrar. The Director will manage and staff all curricular meetings including course representatives, curriculum committee, clerkship directors and curricular retreats. The Director, in conjunction with the COO, will assure all LCME requirements are met for accreditation purposes.
