The University of Washington (UW) Department of Psychology invites applicants for two full-time (100% FTE) tenure-track faculty positions in Clinical Psychology at the rank of Assistant Professor. These positions have an anticipated start date of September 16, 2020. Tenure-track faculty have an annual service period of nine months (Sept 16-June 15). The successful candidates are expected to develop a funded research program and teach undergraduate and graduate level courses. We are seeking two clinical psychologists with emphases that either fill gaps not covered by existing clinical faculty (e.g., depression, serious mental illness, etc.) or will complement existing strengths in intervention development. Example areas of focus include, but are not limited to, psychobiological processes such as genetic, physiological, and brain mechanisms and innovative methods targeting multiple units of analysis (e.g., affective neuroscience, neuroimaging, quantitative methods, big data, technology). Cross disciplinary interests (background, training, scholarship, teaching) is encouraged, complementing the departmental mission to promote social equity, optimize human potential, and understand the mind through behavior and brain science. Candidates should exhibit diversity in research, teaching, or service, potential to support the department's commitment to diversity, and potential to recruit, mentor, and educate students who will serve diverse populations. Ultimately, successful candidates should have the ability to produce high quality research in the field, evidenced by publication number, publication quality, and grant funding.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology, or foreign equivalent, by the start of the appointment and a record of research productivity is required.
