South Central College is accepting applications for an unlimited Emergency Medical Services Faculty member. We are seeking an instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires being part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. This position will be based on the North Mankato campus. Classes are held on 2 campuses, located in North Mankato and Faribault, MN. Class time may include daytime, evening, and weekend hours.
The successful candidate will be responsible for classroom instruction. He/she will be expected to work as a team member in maintaining a learning environment that meets the educational requirements of the post-secondary student.

Occupational Experience Requirement
Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre-hospital or emergency care settings.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Current Minnesota certification, registration, or licensure as an EMT, paramedic, physician, physician's assistant, or registered nurse and certified by American Heart Association as an instructor in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
Bachelor's degree in any field.
Current Minnesota certification as a Paramedic.
Teaching experience within a team and individual responsibility.
Strong discipline expertise and emergency care.
Student-centered teaching philosophy.
Commitment to the success of culturally, ethnically, and racially diverse learners.
Experience in learning a variety of technology to enhance teaching and student learning.
U.S. DOT Emergency Medical Service (EMS) instructor certification.
