The University of Washington, Department of Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics invites applications for a position as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor or Clinical Professor, with rank commensurate with experience and qualifications, on the full time clinical faculty track. This is a 12-month service period.
Position responsibilities for the successful candidate will include clinical work in child abuse pediatrics. While most time will be in the provision of direct patient care, there will also be opportunities to participate in medical student, resident or fellow supervision. In that role, the candidate's responsibilities will include clinical supervision, teaching, evaluation, and feedback. Opportunities to participate in program development, quality improvement, research, or outreach are integral to clinical work at the University of Washington.
All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, research and service.
Anticipated start date is Winter 2020.
The successful candidate will have earned an MD or (foreign equivalent) and should be board certified or board eligible in pediatrics and board certified or board eligible in child abuse pediatrics.
In order to be eligible for University sponsorship for an H-1B visa, graduates of foreign (non-U.S.) medical schools must show successful completion of all three steps of the U.S. Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE), or equivalent as determined by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
