Chemeketa Community College is the third largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, with approximately 29,000 students enrolled from a diversity of backgrounds. Chemeketa has seven locations, Salem campus, Yamhill Valley campus, Brooks Regional Training facility, Woodburn center, Polk center, Center for Business & Industry and Viticulture at Eola. Chemeketa's district encompasses nearly 2,700 square miles of the Mid-Willamette Valley and includes all of Marion, Polk, and most of Yamhill counties with a small portion of Linn County. About 465,000 citizens live in the district, with Salem, the capitol city of the state of Oregon, comprising the largest single concentration of citizens.

Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution
High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Three additional years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience
Knowledge of: customer service principles; modern office equipment and procedures; general record keeping principles; basic database management principles; inventory maintenance principles; basic mathematical principles; advanced spelling, grammar, and mechanics principles. Skills in: providing high quality customer service; critical thinking skills; using modern office equipment; filing; performing business mathematical calculations; proficient use of computers and related software applications (Excel and Word); preparing a variety of reports; prioritizing work and performing multiple tasks; maintaining various databases; maintaining various confidential records; communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, etc. sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction
Bicultural/multicultural skills sufficient to select appropriate behaviors, values and attitudes within different cultures during interactions with others.
Experience in community college environment working with staff, students and the public
Experience working in a Human Resources office
Executive Assistant Experience
Experience using Ellucian Banner
Experience with scanning and archiving software
Demonstrated experience with general record keeping and mathematical principals
Demonstrated experience of advanced functions of the Microsoft office Suite
